Before moving to France, Damian Bird was a photographer and photojournalist who specialised in war zones and conflict areas.  He worked for many British national newspapers and magazines.
 
Alice's father is British figurative and abstract painter, Robin Rae, whose paintings and 3-D constructions are held in many public and private collections and are regularly shown in galleries both in the UK and USA... (and also decorate the walls of our gites.  Thank you dad!)
